Top March 2016 events in Paris

The city of love, high art and of the avant garde welcomes spring with optimism. The undying capital city of France looks beautiful in this season, with a gentle sun teasing you from underneath the blanket of clouds, but you should be well advised: having an umbrella with you at all times is more than recommended! The Top March 2016 events in Paris should, however, be reason enough – or a pretext sufficiently strong – to compel you to come here!

So let’s see some of the events and celebrations that promise to make this March in Paris an unforgettable one! (Not that Paris alone wouldn’t do the trick).

On March the 6th, women will flood the streets of Paris in an incredibly fun and colorful vintage festival, dating back to the 18th century: the self-explanatory Carnaval des Femmes (Women’s Carnival). Presided by a Queen, women wearing costumes will parade along the Seine from the Place du Chatelet (where they will gather at 1 PM). Even men are allowed to join in the fun.

Tourist specialists from all around the world will want to attend the International Tourism Show between March 17th and 20th 2016. The prestigious Salon Mondial du Tourisme is the largest such event in France and one of the most prominent worldwide, welcoming more than 100.000 visitors at the Porte de Versailles Paris Expo. Travel agencies, hotels, restaurants and resorts, car rental France companies, as well as Paris transfers representatives will be present, so be sure to come if you want to organize a trip to France and not only!

Outside the Musee Jacquemart-Andre, starting from March 18th 2016, you are invited to admire the Normandy Impressionists outside workshop. 40 famous, recognizable paintings will be exhibited, hailing the Norman Impressionist movement of the 19th century.

These are just a few of the events to look forward to this spring!
