What to do in charming Paris in May 2018

If you have your plane tickets and Paris airport transfer vouchers booked already for a trip this coming month in the glamorous and contrasting capital city of France, we are also ready to show you some suggestions of what to do in charming Paris in May 2018.

The month debuts with the International Labour Day on May 1st. This is a bank holiday and the French are not necessarily known for being workaholics who skip free days, so expect half of the city to be closed off on this day.

Nevertheless, don’t think there are not a lot of things left to do on a bank holiday. My suggestion would be to rent a car in Paris and go explore one of the many parks in the city or a town or village around Paris.

If there is one thing you can do in Paris above all things is enjoy art. There are so many museums in town that you would probably have to spend a month visiting them all and admiring all the masterpieces harbored by the city. The European Night of Museums is celebrated this year on May 19th. You have the opportunity to visit wonderful museums such as the Orsay and the Louvre, but also so many other attractions and monuments for free for just one night. Paris, however, is bound to get very, very busy during this day, so if you are traveling for just one weekend, you might miss on some of the attractions, which are very crowded in general any way. So it’s best to be as cautious as possible anyway.

The Festival of Nature is also scheduled a bit later in May (23-27). This is a great opportunity for kids and adults alike to learn everything about the local flora and fauna and to cultivate their love for nature and purity.
