Winter in Paris
Winter in Paris is cold… yes, but irrelevant. Scratch that one out. Winter in Paris is spectacular!
Paris: the capital city of both France and lovers of all corners of the world, the most romantic commercial destination and one of the greatest shopping spots in the world.
Spending a white magical winter in Paris is a lifelong dream for so many of us. But lest you should eventually have the unique opportunity to travel to France just to realize you have no clue and just waste your time in the cold, you should get as much info as possible about Christmas and New Year activities you can take part in.
Christmas Markets are wonderfully colorful, blissfully entertaining and altogether a wonderful display of everything cultural. Between the end of November and mid-January, dozens of markets are open in Paris.
Les Champs Elysees will be brought to light with wonderful decorations, lights and countless stands with traditional products. A true merry winter wonderland tasting like cotton candy and gingerbread, smelling like tea and warm wine and donning its most festive red and green attire.
With pittoresque wooden chalets and sound of merry jingle bells, the market in the Place de la Concorde (in fact a continuation of the one on the Champs Elysees Avenue) brings another touch of entertainment with the huge ferris wheel that dominates the landscape.
Shopping at the great markets and Malls in Paris is another option… or you can spend Christmas and the New Year at Disneyland. Among your childhood heros, you can enjoy a thrilling Christmas Eve dinner or the New Year’s Eve festivities in the classy confines of great halls that look like the ending scene of Beauty and the Beast.
And if we are lucky to have a white Christmas, take your lover’s hand and just take a walk in the quiet Paris night, snowflakes flying all around you.
